For a number of reasons, we’ve decided to pull our music from Spotify, Apple Music, etc. It will still be available on Bandcamp, and the two lyric videos (“Wholehearted” and “Come Around”) will stay up on YouTube, hopefully to be joined by more in the future. When the album (eventually) comes out, it will also go up on Bandcamp and it is currently my intention to make a lyric video for each song. So, people who want to listen for free can watch the videos, and people who want to own copies can buy on Bandcamp or get a physical copy from us, since that seems like it will make more sense for the album than it did for the EP.
It may seem like a strange decision – making our music less available – but it’s not a decision we made lightly. It isn’t even because the thousand-plus streams of our music don’t come close to covering the cost of making it available for a single year, although that factors in.1
I’m not going to get into the details of the why, but I do want to sincerely thank everyone who has listened to the EP since it came out. Having an audience means the world and we appreciate every person who has connected with these songs. Hopefully you’ll still be there when the album comes out, which it will at some point, I promise.
