BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

May I have your attention, please!

On October 22, we will be celebrating the release of our debut EP with a show at LIVE! on Elgin!

And I gotta say, I haven’t looked forward to an event this much in a long time.

Planning this event has (so far, at least) been a little like planning my graduating recital, a little like planning our wedding, and a little of something else entirely new. With all of the nerves and excitement you would expect from all three.

Had to design a poster and hire (additional) musicians but won’t be adjudicated. No favours or flowers but still had to find a venue. Had to find an opening act,¹ as well as order merch and try to get seen on social media. All kinds of tasks, familiar and novel. Is it any wonder I’m so engaged in the process?

With all the work going into planning and preparation, I’ve let my blog writing schedule slide a bit. I keep having ideas that seem to belong further in the future and I haven’t been able to come up with the right topic for right now. Until this one – obviously announcing our EP release is an appropriate topic for the day we plan to announce our EP release.

So if you’ll be a little patient with me while I am massively distracted by getting ready for something so exciting, I appreciate it. And if you can make it to the event, why, I would appreciate that even more.

We have a great opening act, an amazing band to back us up, and some songs that we are super-proud of and so excited to share with everyone who attends. I have high hopes for this show!
